Thomson Wood was
founded in 2003, based in Corfe Mullen, Wimborne, Dorset. We are a members
of the Sage Accountants Club and the 2020 Membership Group.
We have over 350
clients throughout Southern England representing diverse businesses including
property, construction, entertainment, information technology, retail and
financial services.
Our clients include
sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, trusts and individuals requiring
help with their own personal affairs.
The firm's founders
have over 50 years of experience in finance, accounting and taxation
services:
Stephen Wood is a
fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, having
qualified in 1985. He has considerable experience in business and the
accountancy profession, including 14 years as a Finance Director and ten years
as a Senior Manager in two firms of Chartered Accountants.
Barbara Wood is a
member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and has worked as a Senior Tax
Manager in accountancy practices, prior to which she was an Inspector of Taxes
with the HM Revenue & Customs.
Our fees are
competitive and based on time expended. Where possible they will be agreed in
advance and our rates reflect the experience and level of expertise of staff
involved and the nature of work undertaken. Initial discussions are free of
